In a sports hall that occasionally doubles as an exam room, good lighting is essential. So when it was time for Gorinchem’s Oudehoven Lyceum to update the lights in its sports hall, they decided to do so properly. The school turned to Jaleco Totaal Projectafbouw, which called in Tronix for a satisfactory end result, guaranteeing perfect light for every user.

Jaleco board member Rick Janse is delighted with the multifunctional solution, consisting of a staggered setup of high-Efficiency LED strips incorporated in the new aluminium ceiling. “We printed our own 3D brackets to ensure that the fixtures would fit perfectly between the ceiling slats. The lighting is beautiful, fitting and robust, and the overall system is as reliable as can be. And the light output? It’s fantastic!”

There were multiple reasons why Rick opted for Tronix. “The main one was that they’re so dependable, but they also have a lot of expertise and deliver fully fledged solutions. What’s more, their large inventory is a major plus, too. As a finishing contractor, our deadlines can be tight, so having a partner who can ship products out of stock is very valuable.”

The Oudehoven Lyceum had raved about the proposed solution even before it was completed, after Jaleco had invited several school representatives to its own Experience Centre equipped with Tronix lighting, which also features a sports hall scenario. “Seeing is believing. As soon as the school’s representatives laid eyes on the setup, they were sold. They instantly realised that they wanted the same.”
